Outstanding Small Business. Lots of preparation upfront with great reminders. Show up on time and get the job done. When you call, phone is answered on first ring, I can’t give high enough praise in this era of four day work weeks! Easy online payment process. So rare these days to find companies where the customer is treated so well. You can’t over recommend this company.

More About Lexington Park, Maryland

Lexington Park, MD

Lexington Park is a small waterfront hamlet located along the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. A part of St. Mary’s County, the hamlet boasts of a charming countryside appeal which makes it one of the most coveted residential communities in the area.  Economically, Lexington Park is ranked among the fastest-growing “micropolitan” areas in the United States, contributing approximately $3 billion to the state economy every year.

Archeological evidence suggests that modern-day Lexington Park area was inhabited by several successive groups of Native American tribes for at least 10,000 years prior to the arrival of the European settlers. The last known settlers of the area were the Yaocomico people, a subgroup of the famous Piscataway Indian Nation.

The area thrived as a major tobacco farming community throughout the colonial era especially after the introduction of slave labor. Tobacco farming continued into the mid-1900s and was only halted by eminent domain land seizures in the region. Lexington Park was officially established in 1943 along with the Patuxent Naval Air Station which currently serves as the hamlet’s largest employer. Initially known as Jarbosville, the hamlet was named in honor of USS Lexington battleship which was destroyed during the Battle of the Coral Sea in 1942.
